What is a SAM?
- When asked “What is a SAM?”, my students instantly reply, “It’s the one who doesn’t drink at parties :)” (for the French) 😅
- A SAM is actually a secure vault for our systems, just like banks that store our money in tightly locked vaults!
- Today, I am delighted to present our new product, ODALID which makes your access controls fully secure and compliant with ANSSI requirements.
- We have developed a cryptokey that allows secrets to be stored and transported on removable smart cards.
The benefits:
- Authenticate contactless cards
- Create a secure channel between the SAM and the contactless card
- No longer need to transport secrets in an unsecure manner
- Secrets can be updated in a fully secure manner by changing the secure element or by using a master SAM to update the field SAMs.
