Looking in my archives I found my first contactless card reader. I had appointed him on 4/10/2007 when I left the Polytech Dijon engineering school before the creation of my company ODALID.
I was a junior and had a background in electronics engineering. At the time, electronics were still the stuff of dreams!
Hardware design seems to be losing appeal to young people, yet it’s so exciting!
I remember spending a lot of time and energy on the design, prototyping the board and antenna, and developing the firmware before we got to the win 🙂 “Read my first contactless card”. Personal Satisfaction +1
This first functional validation was a step before the marketing of my electronic products (through validation, industrialization, acceptance and certification of the product).
Today, ODALID has been in existence for 15 years, the company designs, develops and markets high-security contactless readers on the telebilletic and IoT access control markets.
Many customers, large counties, major players in industry and defense trust me, R&D remains and will remain a major axis of my business strategy!
