The RTM Group, transport operator for the Métropole Aix-Marseille-Provence (the largest metropolitan area in France), has a number of objectives: implementation of an automated metro system, energy transition, renewal of technical and IT systems, infrastructure development, etc.
In order to provide secure, priority access to car parks in the Marseille metropolitan area for public transport users, RTM called on ODALID to design and install an access control system at car park entrances, comprising badge readers and access management units.
This development responds to the current challenges of energy transition by offering a comprehensive solution: car park + public transport for users, while allowing them to maintain their habits.
The technological challenge: a single card, the transport card, is used by users as an access control on existing infrastructure!
